In April 2009, Cindy Felice experienced a health scare that caused her to reevaluate her lifestyle and to take her health seriously.  For the next five months she walked a brisk four miles each day and lost 40 pounds.  Felice joined Life Time Fitness in September 2009, knowing she would need to join a gym to keep up her weight loss through the winter months.  At that time, she also decided to use a personal trainer to help her with her weight-loss goals as well as to increase her strength, muscle tone and overall fitness.  She began working with her trainer, Devon Bates, in October 2009 and continues to work with him twice each week.  As a result, she has now lost an additional 50 pounds and weighs 153 lbs.

I had always struggled with obesity as an adult, but in early 2009 the health problems associated with my 240-lb. weight hit hard. I went to my doctor in February for a physical and the results were not good. She wanted to put me on medication for high blood pressure, acid reflux and cholesterol. My first thought was “I’m only 38 years old and I’ve got to take all these pills!” I wasn’t being the greatest role model for my daughter and was concerned I wouldn’t be around to see her grow up. It was time for a change.

On January 14 of this year I decided to join T.E.A.M. Weight Loss at Life Time Fitness in Flower Mound. It changed my life. Working with Christy Arnold and doing the workouts along with using the nutrition information she gave me, I was on track to reach my goal of losing weight and fitting into a size 10. The weekly nutrition reminders and suggestions helped to put the physics of weight loss in perspective.
