Buffalo Chicken

When it comes to recipes, I like simple and tasty.  Recipes that call for less than five ingredients and that can be cooked in a slow-cooker get extra bonus points too, in my opinion.  The recipe below is stupid simple and one that I’ve been recommending to my clients for years.  It’s a great one to do on a Sunday afternoon while you’re doing your other household chores and can easily be eating alone as a snack or thrown on a big and green salad for lunch and dinner.  If you are looking for a new flavor of protein – check out below and enjoy!

  • 1 lb Organic Chicken
  • 1 Tbsp Himalayan Sea Salt
  • 1 cup Hot Sauce
  • 1/3 cup Organic Butter

  1. Place butter in a glass container and slowly melt in the microwave by heating it up 15 seconds at a time. In between each cycle, gently stir the butter. Once butter is fully melted, mix in hot sauce.
  2. Place chicken breasts in a slow cooker and cover with buffalo sauce mixture. Ensure each breast is fully covered (as space allows). Cook on high for 4 hours, checking every hour to ensure chicken is still covered with hot sauce and is cooking well. Stir occasionally.
  3. After 4 hours, shred the chicken using a fork – It should shred easily. If not, continue heating in the slow cooker.
  4. Enjoy!
