Life Cafe: Cobb Salad

Another secret salad recipe from the Life Café – super easy to assemble and full of in season produce and tasty fats.  With a little bit of chopping and prepping, the layering of different ingredients for a Cobb salad can be endless.  Below is our take on the best flavor and ingredient combination – but feel free to sub in a different cheese or vegetable to your preference. 

Prep Time:  15 minutes

Assemble Time:  5 minutes


  • 2 cups of Romaine/Spinach
  • 4 ounces of cooked chicken breast, sliced
  • ¼ of avocado, diced
  • ½ ounce of Blue Cheese crumbled
  • 2 ounces of bacon, cooked and diced
  • 2 slices of tomato, diced
  • 1 egg, hard boiled, wedged
  • ½ ounce of cheddar cheese, shredded


  1. Lay a bed of lettuce onto plate.
  2. Build each ingredient in rows from left to right and from top to bottom over the bed of lettuce.  Accompany with a balsamic or ranch dressing.  Enjoy!
