Healthy Kitchen: Chocolate Peppermint Shake

What is it about this time of year that makes us crave peppermint everything? Food companies and coffee shops are onto this, pumping out tasty (and not so healthy) treats in every peppermint variety.

But don’t let those commercial concoctions sabotage your health goals. Get your fix with this tasty recipe below!

This recipe uses our signature Chocolate VeganMax Protein powder – one of my all-time favorite powders because it is both allergen-free and made from plant proteins.

If you’ve never worked with a plant-based protein powder before, know that it not only digests more slowly in your body (and keeps you fuller longer!), but it also requires a little more liquid for preparation to avoid an overly thick consistency.

One last tip: Since I’m usually drinking protein shakes on the go, I love serving my prepared shakes in Mason jars. Because they provide a lid and portability, they're great for traveling and can be easily refrigerated or frozen for later! 

Chocolate Mint Shake 

(Dairy Free, Gluten Free)

Total Time:  5 minutes



Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend to desired consistency.
