15 Favorite Blog Posts, 1 Final Message

One of the most satisfying parts of my week for the past few years has been my Saturday morning routine. Most Saturday mornings, I sit down with a cup of coffee and my laptop to begin writing a post or two for the Life Time Weight Loss blog. I’ve always enjoyed this time because it required me to eliminate other distractions and really consider what I wanted to share with the goal of helping others shape their personal nutrition, metabolism, health, fitness, stress, sleep and other lifestyle choices.

While I’ll likely continue my Saturday morning ritual, I’m writing today’s blog post as a final sign-off from the Life Time Weight Loss blog and Flourish newsletter. For the past 12 years, I’ve been blessed with many roles at Life Time. The past few years were particularly satisfying. We’ve been able to develop some of our most cutting-edge programs and best-in-the-market products, many of which are featured here on the Life Time Weight Loss site.

Together, we’ve also chipped away at the many myths and misunderstandings of what is required to live a healthy way of life, all while upholding a commitment to offer relevant, scientifically-supported, consumer friendly content for more than four years – and counting.

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed being a part of this movement and am truly excited about all that the team will continue to deliver. As for me, after a LOT of thought, I have decided to move on to pursue a new chapter of my career.

Ralph Waldo Emerson is quoted as saying:

“The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.”

What a great concept to live by. It is with this in mind that, as of May 17, 2013, I’ve concluded my time with Life Time.

If you’ve been following our blog, I hope I’ve been able to share some thoughts and insights that have helped you along your journey toward a healthier way of life.

Over the past several years, we’ve grown our Flourish subscribers from 2,500 to more than 170,000 strong. Thank you for being one of them.  Moving forward, Life Time Weight Loss and the Flourish newsletter objectives will not change.  You should expect that the same great team will carry on with the weekly education provided on our blog, while managing our great programs and products.

Because we add new readers daily, as my final blog post, I thought I’d simply share 15 favorites over the years in no particular order.
