Dr. Briffa provides a nice case for supplementing with a couple of very important nutrients – calcium and vitamin D. Getting rid of some extra fat sounds like a good reason to me to use these supplements. By the way, his book Waist Disposal is a worth purchasing and reading as well.

I gave you a list of 10 Great Holiday Health & Fitness Gifts back in November. Mark Sisson posted his 10 Holiday Gifts for Your Primal Tribe this past week. Now you have 20 possible gifts to give if you’re behind on your shopping.

You’ve probably seen butter recommended several times on this site. In Norway, it looks like most of the country understands how butter can be part of a healthy diet. They’ve basically run out of stock. The low-carb diet craze, plus the need to back for the holidays has led to a serious stocking issue. There’s actually black market sales of butter going on. I wonder if anyone’s tried selling it on eBay.

We’ve been featuring recipes from Healthy Living How To each Friday. If you’re more recipes, you can check out the site, or Chris Kresser just posted a list of some of his favorite Paleo recipe sites. If you’re bored of meat, vegetables, nuts, seeds, fruit and protein shakes, chances are you haven’t explored enough different ways to prepare them. Check out some of those sites and try some variety.  

Life Time Fitness surveyed over 2000 members to find out what they’d give up to lose 10 pounds. Most wouldn’t give up their cell phone for a day, but many said they’d give up sex for a year. Check out the story on Fox News Minneapolis.
